The team name "The Boiled Owls" uses an entertaining term from the big book which is read in the highly disorganized and irreverent Thursday 7:30 pm group called "How it Works". They boldly aspire to embody the 9th tradition with the admonition that their group "as such, ought never be organized". The rumor mill has it that they do, however, occasionally lapse into efficiency!
As for me, i have jumped into the cold lake for years now, and the chill challenge is about the only chance I get to do something useful with that impulse. Though lately, I wonder why I do it... I'm open to jumping in, but this year, I'm going to let you decide. besides that, I'm not sure what my teammates will do, because they are in the category of things I cannot control - so I never know what they'll do!
I'm happy to raise money for recovery and ready to take one on the chin for 518!!!
