If I look happy in this picture, it's because I am. It was taken on August 7th at Rochester General Hospital the day after they moved me out of cardiac ICU and into a room with not just a window, but a view. I had had a heart attack just 3 days earlier, and am grateful to report that I seem to have recovered quickly and am back to my usual shenanigans, including asking for your support for this fundraiser.
Now, more than ever, I'm planning to "dodge." But Luke is home for this event again this year if you're looking for someone to "dip." I don't mind a bit if you go search for him as a participant and decide to donate to him instead of me!
Thank you all for caring so much about me, about Luke, and about everyone dealing with alcoholism, addiction, and recovery in all the ways we do.
It's a long, strange trip, indeed.
